Baja Bound - Insulating Houses Before Winter!
Saturday, December 3 • 7am-7pm
Join Harbor Chula Vista on a trip to Ensenada, Mexico where you'll help insulate and drywall two recently completed homes for the working poor in Baja. Both families have several young children and will benefit greatly from a warm, dry, insulated house for winter. Cost is $50 materials donation. Christmas in the City
Sunday, December 18 • 1pm • Hoover High
This exciting event provides a way for the working poor families to participate in Christmas in a dignified and economically realistic manner. Families will be able to buy new toys for their children at prices ranging from $1- $10. We need folks to donate new toys for the store (bring unwrapped gifts to service on Sundays through 12/11), and/or your time on-site that morning---working the store, gift wrapping, and playing with the kids outside of the store.

Food Bank - First Thursday of Each Month
Special Holiday Edition - December 1
We try to make this one special. In addition to the normal routine, feel free to bring some baked goods to share with the folks in line. We'll have Christmas music and something extra for the kiddos if anyone has any ideas!
(Food Bank involves packaging and distributing food to approximately 275 working-poor families at the North Park Recreation Center, 4044 Idaho St., 92104 between 7:00-9:30 AM. AIDS Walk 2011!
Thanks so much for another great AIDS Walk. Together we raised over $800 for AIDS/HIV care and prevention service in San Diego.
