PLEASE PRAY FOR JAPAN:

  • Pray for the orphaned children
  • Pray for those who lost their loved ones or homes
  • Pray that those trying to find each other get reconnected soon
  • Pray for provision of food and gasoline, much needed in Tohoku
  • Pray for more shelter space for those without homes
  • Pray for wisdom  for relief workers, to know where help is needed most
  • Pray that church groups quickly obtain permission to access the expressway
  • Pray for containment of the nuclear crisis
  • Pray for protection and stamina for Christians who are caring for the people
  • Pray that God will fill the hearts of these laborers with His love, that it may overflow unto others
  • Pray that the people of Japan will see the love and power of Christ, and hunger to know Him like never before! Pray against pride, self-sufficiency, control, conformity.
  • Pray that the church would rise up and help.
  • Pray that many people would be introduced to Jesus through Christians who give them physical aid.
  • Pray that the idols of Japan would utterly fail and be silent at this time of need (cf. Elijah and the prophets of Baal), and that people would seek the true God and find him.

We do know that God has placed us in a position of strength with the depth of our team, their broad presence, and long ministry history in Japan. Please join MTW and our Japan team in urgent prayer that God will open many hearts to the gospel and that His Church will grow.
