Ministry Teams
Opportunities to serve - The following ministry areas are a vital part of Harbor Uptown. Please prayerfully consider volunteering for a 3-month period.
SUNDAY OPERATIONS
The Ops team helps to create an environment conducive to worship and fellowship for Harbor Uptown. Its responsibilities include setup and breakdown of Harbor signs and materials before and after each service, as well as monitoring the church entrances throughout the service to welcome any latecomers and to provide security. CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
The Children’s Ministry team provides a nurturing and secure environment for children during the service. Team responsibilities include caring for children in two ways: (1) Children's Church Workers, who play with, hold, and love on the little ones, and (2) Children's Church Teachers, who teach our curriculum to children ages 4-7. CARE & PRAYER
The Care Team exists to serve the folks at Harbor in tangible ways. Opportunities to serve include providing meals, helping people move, providing rides, and organizing care packages for Harbor attendees in the military. HOSPITALITY
The Hospitality team helps build community by providing a welcoming environment where folks can gather after the service. Team responsibilities include coordinating refreshments and décor in the Lounge upstairs. Contact Taffy at or 865-394-3604.
GREETING
The Greeting team makes sure folks feel welcomed when they come to Harbor Uptown. Team responsibilities include greeting people with a smile and providing them with a church bulletin. Contact Cam at or 619.253.4157.
CHURCH LIFE

WORSHIP
The Worship Team uses music to facilitate worship at our Sunday services. Possibilities for involvement include playing an instrument, singing, helping with the overhead or sound and helping set-up and clean-up equipment. Contact Chad Gray at .
